The Sydney-based singer/songwriter dresses his introspective and highly personal songs in a dense and evocative production effort that lifts the material to a lofty level. If the intricate and imaginative production sheen to this album reminds you of anything its probably The Church's recent album, possibly because Young's producer, Tim Powles, has also worked with them. It's a glorious multi-layered wealth of sound, using an intersecting array of instruments such as slide guitar and trumpet amid a rainbow of electronica and beats.
